By Light Type

This section explains lighting by how it feels, not technical specs. You don’t need to understand every number — just what kind of mood you want your space to have.

Warm Light (around 1000K–2700K)

Warm light feels calm, soft, and relaxing. It’s closest to candlelight or sunset tones. This type of light helps your body slow down and makes spaces feel more intimate. It works best in living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways. A common mistake is using warm light but keeping it too bright.

Neutral Light (around 3000K–4000K)

Neutral light feels balanced and natural — not too warm, not too cold. It supports focus without feeling harsh. It works well in dining areas, home offices, and kitchens when used in moderation.

Cool Light (above 4000K)

Cool light feels alert and functional. It increases contrast and visibility. It works best in task-focused or short-use areas. Using cool light in spaces meant for rest can make your home feel uncomfortable at night.

One last reminder

There is no single correct lighting setup. Lighting works best when you adjust it to your habits, not trends. Start small. One room. One corner. One light. That’s enough to change how your home feels.
